Nightingale

Nightingale by Yanni
In the green forest
In the heart of Spain
There nestled a young nightingale
Waiting for his mate.
He sang till he could sing no more
Hoping his mate would be back
But his mate would never return
For she was there no more.
When they brought him the news
He cried till he could cry no more
And then he died on the spot
And was there no more.
For bird and nature lovers

well you are a great poet
Lovely, tragic poem. I like the form and the images.
it whispering so sweet like nightingale. but tragic at the end.
